THE SANCTUARY is a celebration of sub cultures and deviant sexualities in all forms. It has chosen to concentrate on arts, remembering that culture always seem to be the first thing attacked when it comes to oppression.

THE SANCTUARY celebrates those who died for us to be were we are today. The people who struggle for equality all over the world. The people who died because they express deviant sexualities and did not conform to set gender roles. The people who have died, and those who are still struggling with AIDS. For the people who never had the streanghts to come out with their true self. For the people who every day take the revolutionary step to live as an open HBTQ-person. For all these people this site exists.

THE SANCTUARY is a personal statement.

THE SANCTUARY does not claim to tell any essential truths nor trying to encompass everything. All material here has been selected or written by a person with his own prejudices and thoughts of his world.

REMEMBERING THIS, if offended by any of the material, the author would like to know why and how, so he also can make the connections.
